Linda Rich

Linda Rich has been a teacher since 1985 and has taught high school for thirty-two years. She loves being in the classroom with students because she says that, “I love working with students and they keep me young.” Linda started out as a Secondary Education teacher in Escambia County Schools in Pensacola, Florida. Linda earned her Masters’ in Secondary Education from the University of West Florida in 1988. When Linda relocated to San Diego in 1988, she earned her Lifetime College Teaching Credential from the California College Teaching Board and taught English, Mathematics, and Business Related courses for several San Diego Community College sites (e.g. City College, Educational Cultural Complex (ECC), Mesa College, Miramar College, Centre City, Midway Center, East San Diego Center), as an adjunct for twelve years.

Linda earned a second Masters’ degree in Special Education from National University in May 2000. She has been a teacher with the Grossmont School District in Special Education, also. Linda has been a Resource Specialist with San Diego City Schools, prior to teaching Special Education at several sites within the District. She has taught at New Dawn, since its opening in 2003.

Linda was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida and is the fifth child out of seven children. She is the mother of three children. Linda enjoys reading, writing, singing, dancing, and socializing.
